Privacy policy

Last updated: 2026. This policy explains what personal information National Debt Consultants (“NDC”, “we”, “us”) collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Business details pending confirmation. The bracketed items below — our registered company details, physical address, Information Officer contact, and specific retention periods — need to be confirmed by NDC and inserted before this policy is published live. Do not treat this draft as final without that review.

1. Who we are

National Debt Consultants provides guidance on debt review, debt mediation and debt review removal to consumers in South Africa. Our registered company details and contact information for privacy-related queries, including our Information Officer under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), will be listed here once confirmed.

2. What we collect

Depending on how you use this site, we may collect:

  • Contact details you provide in a callback or enquiry form: name, phone number, and optionally an email address and message.
  • Preferences you select, such as a preferred callback time or service of interest.
  • Consent choices you make, recorded separately for being contacted about your enquiry and for optional marketing communication.
  • Basic, non-identifying usage information, such as which pages are visited and whether the calculator or a form was completed — collected without the specific figures you type into the calculator or the content of your messages. See “Analytics” below.

Figures you enter into the Budget & Debt Calculator (income, expenses and debt amounts) stay in your browser for that session only. They are not transmitted to our servers or stored unless you separately choose to submit them to us through a form.

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to a callback or enquiry you’ve submitted.
  • To send you optional marketing communication, only if you’ve separately opted in.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how the website is used, so we can improve it.
  • To meet legal or regulatory obligations that apply to us.

We do not use the figures you enter into the calculator for marketing or profiling purposes, because we don’t receive them unless you choose to share them with us directly.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only as described here and where required by law.

The following categories of service provider process information on our behalf so this website can operate and your enquiry can reach us:

  • Website hosting. The provider that serves this website and runs the small server-side functions that receive enquiry forms. Like any web host, it processes your IP address and standard request data to deliver pages.
  • Enquiry delivery. When you submit a callback request, the details you enter are forwarded to NDC through a transactional email delivery service or a direct notification endpoint, so a consultant can see and respond to them. Only the fields you complete are sent.
  • Web fonts. The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts. Your browser requests the font files directly from Google, which involves Google receiving your IP address and standard request headers. No personal information from this site is sent with that request.

We do not currently use advertising networks or third-party tracking pixels on this website. We do not claim that information is “never shared” beyond what is described in this policy.

5. Analytics

This site is built to track basic, non-sensitive events — such as a form being submitted or the calculator being completed — without recording the values you typed, without putting personal or financial information into analytics events or page URLs, and without an analytics provider actively connected at this stage. See our implementation notes for the current status of this integration.

6. Your rights

Under POPIA, you may have the right to access, correct or request deletion of your personal information, and to object to certain processing, including marketing communication. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details on our Contact page or email Marketing@ndcsa.co.za with “Privacy request” in the subject line. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

7. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. Enquiry details are kept while the enquiry is being handled and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can respond to follow-up questions. Where you become a client, records relating to the service are kept for the periods required of a registered debt counsellor under the National Credit Act and related regulations. You may ask us at any time to delete enquiry details we are not legally required to keep.

8. Security

We use secure transport (HTTPS) for data submitted through this site and apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent changes.

10. Contact us

For privacy-related questions, use our contact form or email Marketing@ndcsa.co.za with “Privacy request” in the subject line, or call 021 054 1141.
